Evie asked Kasie West:

Hi! First off, I just want to say that I love your books and will forever remember the fateful day when I picked up Distance Between Us. Anyway, I've been trying to write a story, but writing down a story is harder than just imagining it in your head. Does that happen to you? If so, what do you do? THX!!!

Kasie West Thank you! I'm so happy you like my books. And yes! Writing can be really hard. What I generally do is let myself write bad. I tell myself that it doesn't have to be perfect that, in fact, it can be the worst writing in the world. I just try to get the story down and get through that first draft. Then I can make it better. After I write down the first draft, I go back and edit it until it fits more closely with what I imagined. I guess what I'm saying, is that I try not to be so hard on myself when I'm writing.
