I thought I was never going to find similar short stories as the ones by Cortázar in my lifetime: I just read them hoping to forget them immediately after so that I can read them all over again. Thanks for proving me wrong. Your short stories are amazing (your novels as well). Are you able to read Cortázar in spanish?
T. Coraghessan Boyle
He was huge for me in the beginning, along with many others, such as Borges, Asturias and Garcia-Marquez, though my stories today are much broader in their modes. My true love is the tall tale along these lines, like "Los Gigantes" or "Swept Away." I have not read Cortazar in Spanish, but could likely do so, with Google backing me up.

This is not a question but a thanks for good advice. You told me to keep a chip on my shoulder, and when I laughed, you asserted that you were serious. I think I've learned what you meant: don't take everyone's advice, stand up for what you believe in, and believe in yourself. Thank you. And I need to include a question mark, so here it is: ?

Sorry, I have no question, only praise. I really enjoyed THTC (as I do all your books)—especially your choice of points of view. You did an admirable job of creating portraits of the troubled pair and the pasts and presents that contributed to their anti-government, anti-authority skew. I can't wait to see what emotional machinations take place in the ecosphere. Oh, so it won;t post without a question mark?
