What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Ricky Monahan Brown I love writing fiction and trying on different hats, like the title character in the old children's TV show, Mr Benn. In each show, Mr Benn would visit a fancy dress shop, try on a costume – say, a caveman's furs – and be transported to that life. Writing, as well as reading, is a great tool to explore empathy, and it's a great privilege to have access to that.
