Goodreads asked Mary Sisney:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Mary Sisney I did not suffer from writer's block when I was writing the two books that I've published. I would figure out what I was going to say next as I took my afternoon walks. When I was writing the first book, I would often think of interesting things I wanted to say in later chapters, so I took notes in case I forgot the interesting things when I reached those chapters. It took me about seven months to write a draft of that 500-page book. I wrote for only about thirty minutes to an hour, usually every day. I did have writer's block when I was writing my original second book, but I discovered after reading the prologue and first chapter that it wasn't a very good book, so I moved on to THE BRONZE RULE, which I wrote very quickly. I notice even with my blogs that the posts that I struggle to write are usually not as well written and interesting as those that I write very quickly.
