Guilt mostly. I am a very structured, habitual person and I cannot sleep without completing my own mental "to-do list." Even if I write only a sentence or a partial thought, that is enough to ease my mind. Something to move the marker toward my goal, if only a centimeter. I love writing, and without it, I don't feel whole.
