This is a theory for all the Bear and the Nightingale Fans out there: What if the Smiling Man is the Bear in the future? What if Vasya's story and Ollie's story are somehow connected by battling the same villain but in a different form? I have to re read the B & the N to confirm, but did anyone else think of this when reading Small Spaces??
