Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Ed Ruggero One of my military histories is about the 1943 invasion of Sicily. While visiting I became intrigued by the challenge the Allies faced after the battles: namely, how to rebuild a civil society. What kinds of crimes were committed and by whom. My next book, BLAME THE DEAD (2019), is about an American Military Police lieutenant and the murder of a US Army surgeon.
