Horror for Newbies

Wonder why it wasn't written in the 1st person since its apparent that it's somewhat autobiographical? And not sure how I feel about the author taking an artistic license when describing views of NY (they were incorrect). Just my humble opinion.
Kristin Selnes My understanding was that Freddy was the narrator. As per the last chapter, but I may have misunderstood totally.
