Anthony Williams I would say the early 2000's as euros exist in the novel.
Sketchbook Euros, immigrants and the Musee d'Orsay. Time present.
Taylor Waters It's intentionally left ambiguous, it could be really any time. To me it feels like the '60's.
Amy Malcolm uses a phone card in one part and calls from a phone booth to Susan.
They stay at Four Seasons in NYC which opened in 1993 or so.
Malcom had gone with his father to Central Park zoo and the Metropolitan Club as a child.
She buys a Chanel dress. The man Rudy who helps sell her items has a car with " New Jersey License plates."
Paris is filled with mopeds, taxis
Im thinking either this century or the 20th?
Sara Weakley The biggest hint, for me, was when Malcolm saw a girl that was wearing a Nike shirt. With all the other answers and this combined, I would guess the time is either sometime in the last 20 or so years, or the present.
