This book is not only catered toward believers but also, non-believers because of the way C.S. Lewis writes. He tells the story of how Satan will take control of your mind and how detrimental it will be when he has finished his work. It is interesting to hear/see it through the potential perspective of Satan's eyes.

Yes it is an excellent book. CS Lewis involves the reader in a unique view from the true enemy. A gifted and generous writer in the manner he shares his tale.

It only has a happy ending if one is reading it from a Christian point of view, because the only way of escaping the devil's brutality explained in the book is through Christ. Otherwise, C.S. Lewis implies that one is damned to be just another of devil's puppets.

It depends on what your definition of "Happy Ending" is. The Ending is Good as it gets to the heart of the story. The bad guy gets what he deserves and the good guy gets the reward!
