I'm just catching up on No Sleep podcast and just heard your story " Arkansas sleep experiment" as an Arkansas and a Searcy native I founnd it very awesome to hear not only my state, but my town in the story! What inspired your choice of location? And how did you pick Searcy of all places?

My wife spent some years of her childhood in Higginson. One of her uncles (I think) is buried in some cemetary back on some dirt roads behind Higginson. Before I wrote the story, we decided to drive out to the cemetary. Getting there was awful. Yet the cemetary was beautifully maintained. Anyway, I thought, who knows what other shit they got back there?
