How much similarity does the book have with Charles dickens's life?

At some period in the future, s…moreRevathy, on the spine of my edition, there is "Charles Dickens" first, and then in the same font, "David Copperfield." At some period in the future, someone not familiar with Dickens might see this spine and think, "Oh, yes, that Copperfield name rings a bell, he's the one that wrote "Charles Dickens." What I do know of Dickens indicates that much of the way he saw his life (his dissatisfaction with his wife, his obsession with sweet young things, the fact that he left his wife late in life for a young actress) IS reflected in "Copperfield".
