Good question, this may sound weird but I love combining music and reading. Sometimes I could be listening to a song and come up with an idea, or sometimes I could be reading one of my favorite novels and get triggered with an idea. Bottom line, if you have an idea for a part, jump on it don’t let it pass you by. You can find yourself on a role with one idea.
