And honestly, I’ve always wanted to write a character that’s hard to love and doesn’t fit the mold of most romance heroines - if that makes any sense. A lot of times we read about heroines with a dark past, but once that perfect man stumbles into her life, it’s like everything suddenly turns into rainbows and unicorns and sure, that may be the case for some people, but definitely not all. I think that’s what I really, really wanted to capture with Samantha’s character. Sometimes, a man CAN’T fix everything. Sometimes, YOU have to slay your own dragons in order to have a better life.
I’m not sure what really inspired her backstory, it all just sort of came to fruition, you know? I wanted Samantha to be the character readers weren’t sure if they should root for, or want to slap. I knew Samantha was the perfect fit because she’s strong willed, crass, and stubborn to a fault - she’s human, just like the rest of us.

Why do you and other female authors always do the double standard of making a heorine celibate or a virgin when the hero gets to have sex for pleasure at his leisure? What goes into that decision? And why is it so popular for her to also have to also witness him with other women?

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed and appreciated the chaos series! I am relieved that you are continuing on and I am excited about the future storylines. I particularly enjoyed the details regarding Matteo and Valentina and became quite invested and emotional with the tale of her demise. I wondered if you would ever consider a prequel? I understand we already know much of the detail,a novella perhaps?
