Annette Marie Spell Weaver is a prequel series and takes place 5 years *before* Steel & Stone. Lyre is the same character as in Steel & Stone, just 5 years younger (same for Ash).

The sequel series Blackfire will take place 5 years *after* Steel & Stone. So the chronological order is Spell Weaver, then Steel & Stone, then Blackfire, and the three series together will span 10 years. :)
