Hi, Jennifer. I love your writing. In The Candy House (great book!), there's a scene in which characters take a hot air balloon above the desert to view an art installation made from junk. It's similar to a scene in DeLillo's Underworld, where characters also take a balloon ride to view art made from old airplanes. Was this an homage to that scene or to the novel, or to something else entirely? Thanks!
