Reshma Vries asked Jana Aston:

I love your writing style, and I've probably read Wrong a gazillion times now. How do you come up with your stories? Do you know how the book's going to go before you start, or do you figure out the plot as you write? And do you edit as you go, or do it all at the end?

Jana Aston Oh I'm a hot mess. I wish I knew more of the plot. There's always key elements I know. I almost always know the "meet cute" before I start and a few other details but no, I am not a plotter. I kinda figure it out as I write.

In Right for example - I knew halfway through writing Wrong that Everly was never going to end up with Finn & I was like... it's his brother. And I sorta knew at that point the logistics of it, it made sense to me that she'd never have met Sawyer and from there it was piecing together the set up of that book. The rest of it I mostly figured as I went!
