What was your inspiration behind the Blood Rites ceremony and vows? I really love the idea (the visual) of the washing of the feet.

Hey Vanessa, great question. I was trying to portray something as powerful as a wedding ceremony, but with supernatural implications, something that would show the unconditional love the males had for the females, as well as show that the males would sacrifice themselves completely for their mates if needed. Certainly the washing of the feet is a picture of what Jesus did for his disciples before he was crucified, which was the ultimate act of love of course.
