Is this based off of Marvel's character Legion? The basic premise reminds me of that and I was wondering if it was meant to be the same

It's more than just the name itself, in the Marvel books, Legion's powers are sectioned off into different personalities because they are too much for him to manage all at once. Instead of mutant psychic powers it's knowledge and expertise, and instead of different personalities taking over it's a mental partition that can be summoned? Like mind palace curators? That is, if my impression of the summary is accurate.

Legion is an attractive allusion. I believe when different artists use it they are probably not aware of the other instances where it has already been used, since it's usually different media. I would personally be leery of using it because I read X-men as a kid and David Haller is the first thing that pops into my mind unless there is something to indicate it as a biblical reference.(less)
