Almira asked T. Greenwood:

I think that the Forever Bridge was the first book of yours that I read. Simply put, I can't get enough of your writing, even though most of your stories are pretty dark. Is there something in your past that has contributed to this side of this chosen subject? I offer your books to my favorite library patrons all the time, to date, no one has ever said "I didn't like it".

T. Greenwood First, thank you! Librarians are my heroes :) And in terms of your question: I think that, for me, fiction (and the act of creating stories) is always about exploring struggle. In The Forever Bridge, I wanted to examine maternal anxiety (something I think every mother experiences to some degree). Of course, it is amplified here...but it's a universal experience. Fiction is always about lifting those rocks to see what is underneath.
