How do you get inspired to write?

Larissa Self Several reasons: 1) I'm a huge fan of Diana Gabaldon's series of books, Outlander, and she said in an interview that she wanted to see if she could write a book. I thought that was a great challenge for myself. 2) I read another interview of an author that said everyone has a story and they should put it down on paper. I had one and decided to try my hand at writing. (I still have a long way to go before I can actually call myself an author) ;)
