is there any romance/heat in this series or is it more like the Kat Daniels books? I absolutely love this author duo, but I prefer a bit more romance/adult scenes in my books (more PNR rather than UF fan). It's so hard finding a PNR author that would have a strong story (like ilona andrews) as well as romance/heat in it. Would really appreciate ANY suggestions at this point.

I'm the opposite as you! I prefer less romance and steamy scenes. There isn't much of either in the Innkeeper series. You might want to try the Darynda Jones series and the first book is called "First Grave On The Right". Those stories are excellent and x -rated ( not raunchy, just WAY too graphic).

Also, try Jeaniene Frost's series, starts with Halfway to the Grave. She has off shoots of the Cat & Bones series, real world building as good as Andrews/Patricia Briggs/Thea Harrison (Ohh, she does great UF with great romance mixed in, start with Dragon Bound!)/Darynda Jones. So many good authors, you have like a hundred books above with all the series building and authors!

I would strongly recommend The Rule of Luck by Catherine Cerveny. It's really more sci fi than fantasy but has strong characterization, good plots, and steamy romance that assists rather than derails the story.
