Do you have a say in the cover design? The cover of "Ask, Tell," depicts the insignia of a staff sergeant. Sabine is a captain.

I do have some say, and was aware of the insignia not being that of a Captain. But as the photos used for covers are stock photos it's difficult to find something that matches the 'vision' exactly, which is which is likely why the rank insignia is covered by the title.
I've seen many covers where the images don't match the characters as described, and in this instance I thought the rest of the image was perfect.

I read Ask, Tell and I absolutely loved it. It is one of the best ff books I have ever read (I've read a substantial amount). The ff fiction world needs you; where have you been? I am just writing to say that I cannot wait for Turbulence. The synopsis has intrigued me (I've never read a book with a pilot before).
