Alexa asked Kasie West:

Do you ever read reviews of your books for motivation or for constructive criticism? My sister loves to do that, but she's sometimes upset because of negative reviews. How do you handle this?

Kasie West I try not to read reviews at all. I have readers I use for feedback who I trust and who I know are going to give me constructive criticism, heavy on the constructive and light on the criticism. So, while I know I need feedback on my writing, I also know that a review from a stranger that tears me apart isn't helpful to me. In fact, it can set my writing back and have me doubting myself ten times more than normal. That said, I do appreciate reviews (good or bad) so much! They help spread the word. It's so important for a book to be reviewed so that other readers can discover it and decide if they want to read it.
