I'm always intrigued by novels in verse. I love to read them, and amazed and how much an author can work into verse. Do you find drawn to this particular way of telling a story? Do you think most of your books will be in verse, or do you see yourself also doing prose?

I love novels in verse too! My inspiration to write in verse stemmed from a love of reading novels in verse. In the case of WHITE ROSE, I had been trying for *years* to find the right format for the subject, and it was a chat with two verse novelists that allowed me to see that verse might perhaps be the perfect way to tell the story. Now that I've discovered writing in verse, it's definitely my preferred way of storytelling, but every story is different, so we'll see!

Kip, I am beyond excited to read your book! I know you've already answered a question about writing in verse instead of prose, but I'm still so curious; what do you think are the main differences between writing in verse v. prose? Do you find that the structure affects the story? Or vice versa?
