How do you get inspired to write?

Genevieve Graham I was initially inspired to write by reading other books. I read the "Outlander" series seven times, finding fascinating new things in the books every time, whether it was in the writing or the history or the characters themselves. I wanted to know if I could do it, since I'd never even considered being an author, and once I started I just couldn't stop. It's an amazing experience, and I'm so glad I took a chance and tried something new!

Genevieve.. thanks for liking my review... Letters was my first novel of yours and i will now read others . It is enjoyable to read books set in Toronto/ Canada.... I grew up in Saint John NB and wondered while reading "Letters" what SJ was like during the depression and if there were swastika clubs? My mother told me that during the depression the poor kids had lobster sandwiches and the rich kids peanut butter!

I just finished reading Tides of Honour. As a Nova Scotian, I enjoyed hearing the story of Daniel Baker and Audrey Poulin. It is obvious from the breadth of the story, from France to England to the Eastern Shore to Halifax, that a great deal of research was required. I am wondering specifically what, if any, historical figure inspired the name of the character Pierre Antoine?
