I adore your works, and wondered how you choose your characters names! Also, what about country/city names that are fictional? I always have a hard time finding ones that are unique and not taken. Thanks!

Melanie Dickerson Hi, Addy! I use census lists from the time period and area where my story takes place. With fictional town names, I make those up by studying the real towns of the area and changing them a bit. For instance, my fictional town of Hagenheim is a combination of Hildesheim and Hagen, Germany. I also check to see what the word actually means! :-)
