I am currently working on a second Hick Lawyer story. It is a little darker and focuses as much on a new character as it does Dexter. This one may turn out to be as much of a crime/noir work as a legal procedural. I hope to write a total of at least three Hick Lawyer novels. I would then like to write something Southern. I have lived in Nebraska for almost twenty years now, but I will always be a southerner.
