As of today, I don't have very many readers yet. My only engagement has been through book promotions. The response is generally lukewarm. But something is better than nothing. Besides, I am not obsessing over it much. My focus right now is to finish my most ambitious project - something I have been working on for close to four years (stay tuned).

As a reader though, I share the general tendency - a catchy title, an interesting cover, and an intriguing synopsis is bare minimum for any book to hold my attention. And I sure hope that my books do justice to these criteria.

Of course, the pre-requisite to pick a book would be that the book is in a genre that I like to read. Often, if I move out of my comfort zone, and don't like the book; the overall rating is affected which was otherwise looking good. As an author, I feel that is unfair to the said author on so many levels, even if it balances the otherwise perfect rating and makes it more legit :-)
