Were there ever any later books in the series?

Tim Cummings Yes. Two sequels, both written by the author's daughter:
- Rasco and the Rats of NIMH
- R-T, Margaret, and the Rats of NIMH

spirea Yes, there is a second book, Rasco and the Rats of NIMH, but it wasn't written by the author.
