What are you currently working on?

Jennifer Egan Much of my time over the past eight months has been spent finding readers for my new novel, MANHATTAN BEACH. Because my books are very different from one another, I feel I need to be extra-present for my readers, in hopes that they'll travel with me from one project to the next. Now, having written a more straightforward historical-noir-sea story-thriller, I'm hoping to move back into contemporary life and innovative structural approaches. If I'm lucky, my next book will be a companion volume to A VISIT FROM THE GOON SQUAD. Fingers crossed.
