Goodreads asked Glenda Burgess:

How do you get inspired to write?

Glenda Burgess The work of other artists always inspires the creative spark in me. I listen to great music, browse art galleries, sculpture gardens, read a classic... Lately, I take a sketch book with me when I travel, as I used to when I was younger. The act of drawing forces me attend to detail, to think of a detail (like shading or shape) and discover that details purpose in the composition or framework of the object or landscape itself and then in the drawing I am making. That attention and discovery always starts me down a rabbit hole of narrative.
