How did you decide on names for your places and characters?

Rebecca Ross I pulled most of my names from name banks. I love the Behind the Name website, because it also gives meanings of names, and sometimes I like to pay attention to that sort of thing when I'm naming characters.

The one name I completely created is Merei. It was one of the first names that came to me, right after I found Brienna's and Cartier's names.
