What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

D.J. Adamson My advice to aspiring writers is to quit aspiring and simply do it. Stay out of the expectations. Becoming a bestseller, which is nice when it happens for some, doesn't come around for everyone. Write because it jazzes your life to do it. Write because you want to leave something of yourself behind. Write for your children, naysayers, hobby, career. Just write. The writing journey will carry you along.
