The idea for Imperfect came from my own struggle with perfectionism. As children, we tend not to realize how hard it is to be a grown-up. We know exactly how we want our grown-up lives to be and can point out where the grown-ups got it wrong. It's not until we become grown-ups that we realize through trials and tribulations that at some point, all of us will fall.
