While many books have good or appropriate endings, (regardless of genre) I thought this one had the best or most satisfying one...ever. Can anyone name another book ending to equal or top this one?

Damien Roberts I think "The Fault in Our Stars" had a very strong ending, in fact I think most of John Green's novels do, which is a testament to his popularity.
Kassandra Montgomery The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly was very well done. A little ambiguous, but it was meant to be that way.
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern was also quite good; it really tied everything together.
Jdemartigny Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen. It gives you hope.
Thomas Jr. Andrew Sean Greer's "Less" has a wonderful ending--right in line with the rest of this Pulitzer-winning tour de force. Kazuo Ishiguro's "Remains of the Day" packs quite a wallop, too.
Kristine Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. The ending's really strong.
k-bookee Robin Hobb's Fool's Errand. It broke my heart into a thousand pieces.
Siou I Think "Wolf and the End of the Future" by Kt Adams has a very strong ending, too.
And it is also written from the perspective of a dog.
Kelly I did not find this ending as satisfying as you did. One book I thought had a very satisfying ending is called The Boy Who Drew Monsters. LOVED IT.
Jane Camerlengo A DOG'S PURPOSE IN LIFE by Bruce Cameron
Kei Bevido The Bear Went Over the Mountain, by William Kotzwinkle
Desiree Kissinger Charles Martin, Where the River Ends. That also has an incredible (bittersweet) ending. I cried but it was a good cry.
Phoebe Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin! The most brilliant, spiritually touching book, which also has a couple dogs in it :)
Sarah The most memorable ending to me, is Strange angels last book Series. After reading and rereading the ending for about 5 times, I was still in a daze and in a place where book reality and life reality is unrecognizable. It was a bit hanging and open ended but I felt like it was the RIGHT moment for the series to end. And that, that ending was my cue to get out of their lives and move on.
