Goodreads asked S.R. Nulton:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

S.R. Nulton I go on walks. My mother is an interior designer and she has always told me that if you get stuck, you get up and move around for a while. For me, that means going on a walk and talking through the story. Sometimes you have to start from the middle or the end of the story and work backwards, asking yourself questions like, "Why?" and "What led to this?" If that doesn't work, I put it aside and think about something completely unrelated. Sounds silly, but sometimes you just have to turn your brain off and do something else.
