Goodreads asked Stylo Fantome:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Stylo Fantome Be slightly shameless, but never aggressive. Be polite - remember how your momma raised you (or how she should've). Take advantage of every avenue available - facebook, goodreads, book blogs, everything. Be EDUCATED - you want writing to be your job? Then treat it like a profession - pay attention to what's going on in the writing world, or indie community, or designing world. If you walked into your real job completely unprepared, completely unaware of who the senior employees were or what they did, wouldn't you feel stupid? This is the same thing. Don't expect to become famous - there is a great meme that says "don't hope to get famous, just hope to get those 10 die hard fans". Mainly, just pay attention, write what is in you to write, and don't be a jerk.
