It is both an intima…moreI loved Expecting Better, and found it really useful when I was pregnant. This is more narrative, and less prescriptive/specific. It is both an intimate analysis of how we talk about pregnancy ("we" including the culture and the scientists) and the massive, life-changing, emotional/cultural/political/physical/psychological wallop of pregnancy and birth. I would definitely recommend reading both! (less)
