HI! I loved Aru Shah and the end of time. I also loved your take on Indian mythology. Did you originally plan to have Aru's soul father be who he was, even though she was more than hesitant with that knowledge? Also, for Mini and Aru, how did you choose who would be the soul father of who/reincarnation of who? Did certain factors of their personalities fit with the matches or were there other elements involved?

Thanks! So glad you enjoyed! Yes, I always planned for Aru's soul father to be who he was. And yep, I think the character aspects of Aru and Mini made their reincarnations natural choices. I also wanted to play around with what isn't mentioned in the text and to think about how the personalities of the Pandava brothers — as shaped by ancient events — would've manifested differently in present times. If that makes sense...

What advice do you have for writers who are trying to break a certain stereotype in the YA/Fantasy genre, especially in empowering female heroines? How do they not go overboard and demasculinese (I think that's the right word) the male characters and still achieve their goal in empowering female characters?

I am a big fan of your work! I was introduced to your books through the preview in one of Rick Riordan's books. I love the Aru Shah books and I am planning to read some of your other books next. I read a lot of books kind of like the book you write, but I am now kind of stuck on what I am going to read. At some point, I don't really know what to read anymore. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
