Yes I thought so too! Everything is the same except slightly different! For instance.. (kissing booth vs summer i turned pretty )
1. Girl's name was Elle.. similar to Belly?
2. Her mom died vs the boys' mom died
3. The girl had a younger brother vs an older one
4. Obviously the 3 main characters are all the same demographics
5. They live near the beach vs vacation at the beach
6. Half the freakin romance plot !! And orhers..

My exact sentiment when I watched it on netflix. When I realized it was a book, it was worse. Totally copied.
