A Goodreads user asked Kasie West:

when you write books where do you get the photos? from online? how do you get character names? how do you form the whole manuscript of a book? do you have any childern picture books?

Kasie West The photos on the covers of my books were gotten through two places. Either a stock photo site was used, like gettyimages.com or stockphoto.com. You go onto those sites, pick out a picture you like, and then pay a fee to use it for your cover. Images are copyrighted so you have to pay for them in order to use them on book covers. The other way we get images for covers is a photo shoot. So models and a photographer were hired and pictures were taken. As for naming my characters, I have a hard time with that. I go to baby name sites for ideas. I search tons and tons of names until I find one that seems right. I'm not sure what you mean by 'form the whole manuscript of a book'. Do you mean, how do I write it? Or how does it get formatted so it looks like a book? If it's the first question, I just sit down at my computer after having thought a long time about a plot and start writing. If it's the second question, I have no idea. My publisher does the formatting. I'm clueless in that area. And lastly, no, I don't write children's picture books. I do love to read them though.
