I am a naturally curious person with many interests. Being a writer allows me to explore any subject that catches my fancy—and when I really delve into a subject it's amazing what I so often find. I love to research, I love to discover fascinating people I've never heard of before and learn their stories and motivations. For me, real people and events will always be far more interesting than anything someone can dream up. It's why I can't see myself writing anything other than nonfiction.

Richard, just finished Don't Make Me Pull Over. Since I was also the youngest kid of a larger family, I was often the kid that would climb about the car as you did. We did two overland trips to Florida from Madison, WI, and one trip to the Rockies. Priceless memories. Thanks for sharing yours and for adding plenty of interesting perspective. Cheers, Sir!?
