Not a question, but just listened to Down In It on Audfans and thought it was a blast. You should make it more available to the masses. (Here's is my token question mark - ?)

Hi Al!
I'm glad you enjoyed Down In It -- Lhiewyn is is a blast to write :D
Podium has the audio rights to all the Amra Thetys related materials; they decided to release Down In It as a freebie to generate interest in the series. It was taken from The Last God, which is three short stories told from teh point of view of Lhiewyn.
As you probably know, audio books are kinda expensive, and people really prefer longer works if they're gonna spend that kind of money. The Last God is just too short to make it financially viable to record, I suspect. BUT I will definitely be writing more Lhiewyn and Jessep stories, and hopefully when there's enough of them, Podium will be amenable to releasing an audio omnibus.
As for other venues for Down In It, I'm very much open to suggestions, and will happily pass them on to Podium.

I noticed that The Thief Who Pulled on Trouble's Braids is no longer available in print, which was disappointing because I'd been hoping to get it soon and I love the cover. Then I found your year-old blog post saying that the publisher wasn't paying and you were taking the rights back, so I guess it's good that I didn't buy their copy. Do you know when the book will be available in print again?

I find your work and your success really really inspiring for a new author who's just discovering the self-publishing options. My question is, are you still self-published, or are you working with a publisher? In your experience, would you recommend chasing after agents and publishers like in the old days or do you think self-publishing is a better option for new authors and/or established ones? Cheers.
