I just finished How to Walk Away. Wow, great book! Best I've read so far this year. Are your other books written as novels as well are are they more along the self-help genre?

Katherine Center Hi Jodi! Thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad that you had a great read!! I have five other books, and they are ALL novels. My fifth book, Happiness for Beginners, kind of looks like a self-help book (the title + the cover are a little self-helpy when you put them together!), but it's definitely a novel! The stories in my books are all stand-alone, but the voice of them is very similar—kind of wry but hopeful. They all have a lot of banter, because banter is one of my favorite things. And they're all kind of bittersweet comedies—both sad and funny at the same time. Hope you get a chance to check some of them out! I have recently discovered your books and just love them! They are such fun stories and full of lovable, quirky characters. I just started on my 4th one last night. I was wondering 1) Did you know at a young age that you wanted to be a writer? When did you know? and 2) what was the very first work you had published? (I am not looking to read it. I am just curious if it was some sort of short story or something else.)
