Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Paul Sating My most recent book, "The Scales," (also my last horror book for possibly years) came to me from an audio drama podcast I used to have. It was a satirical comedy and I fell in love with the world and its characters.

The novel started out as a weird spin-off from that podcast, sort of in the vein of Welcome to Night Vale.

But I soon realized there was a horror story buried in there. Once I determined it was a horror story, not a weird, I went with it and it rolled from my fingers.
