Mark Lawrence:
Hello Mark. First of all, thank you for the work you do. There was a question about the covers of the books but I need to ask, because I currently work with the team who will produce the Prince of Thorns in Georgian language. What kind of covers do you prefer, which cover (original or foreign is your favorite) and how do you feel about artists illustrating the leading characters on the front jackets? Thanks
Mark Lawrence
Hi Ana - you're the first foreign publisher out of 25+ to ask!
I like the Jason Chan covers the best, in the dark format.

There have been many covers:

The recent Chinese ones are interesting:

But publishers know their markets and choose art that fits both their budget and the tastes of their readers.
Thanks for asking. I hope the book does well for you. My advice would be NOT to change the title. That never seems to go well.

Mark Lawrence:
Hi Mark. Just finished Red Sister earlier this week, and absolutely loved it. I am not sure it would be fair to rate them, but since I've read all three of your series this year, and are fresh in my mind right now, I feel this is the best of the seven. I had a weird question. Why the recurring theme of characters associated with 'thorns'? Referring both to Jorg and the young sister on Abeth...

As soon as I finished Red Sister I understood why people have been saying you are a master of your craft. Had to order Broken Empire books straight away. Currently reading Grey Sister, and am loving it. Just wanted to say, thank you for the books! Any plans on expanding the story after Holy Sister, or based in same universe? Or are you going to jump to a brand new detached universe for your next book(s)?
