Hello Mark Reading the Broken Empire Trilogy, I found myself often thinking of Foulke Nerra (the Black Falcon), a major although little sung figure in French and English history - https://www.francetoday.com/travel/the_medieval_loire/ . Had you come across him? He seems as likely an ancestor of Jorg as Little Alex.

I've not heard of him no. But on Wikipedia it implies that he assaulted the city of Tours on the Loire River, which is what Jorg does in the short story "No Other Troy" ... so they have that in common!

Now that you are a full time writer, it seems your writing is years ahead of the publishing, such as currently writing the third Red Sister book when the first won't be published for almost a year. I know you are not a planner and may not know what's next, but would you (or your publisher) be open to two series being published concurrently? I know, I'm greedy, but I am finishing Wheel of Osheim and it is incredible.
