I was wondering why there aren't more authors like you that can write a story ,touch your heart and keep you guessing on the outcome and have a very believable story. Jodi Piccoult, Anita Shreve are also authors I admire but it's very hard to find great writers like you. Do you have any recommendations on outstanding writer like you?

First of all, I am deeply honored by your kind words about my work. Thank you. I'm profoundly grateful, too, for the novels that Jodi gives us and Anita gave us.
I have lots of friends who are writers and I always worry about hurting one's feelings by failing to mention him or her when I am asked this question.
So, I would do this: look a the books I am reading here on Goodreads. That will give you a sense of what I have loved lately.

Sandcastle is my favorite of your books. I imagine it came straight from the heart, making it so powerful. I always enjoy your posts on twit. Would you consider using your wonderful words to say something about gun safety? 7 kids die of guns every day, so this request comes straight from my heart. Doesn't have to be controversial. Just raise awareness, from voice of reason. Snow day, here comes Flight Attendant!
