Hi! Did my last comment already deleted? Sorry for the spoiler. Why? No prequels? Why :'( :'( What are you inspiration/s for the book?

Stuart Turton No problem, really happy you're excited about the book, and the world. A prequel would be fun, but I'm not sure I could do anything with it I haven't already done with this one. I want every book I write to be fresh, and different. My inspiration was Agatha Christie, and trying to write a book that didn't feel like a bad copy of her novels.

Mr. Turton, I would like to say that 7 deaths are by far the best book I have ever read! I understand that you probably cannot say too much if '7 deaths' is going to be turned into a stage play/movie/tv show. But I was curious... Will we ever see 7 deaths on the stage or big screen? Thanks, T.B

7 1/2 Deaths was one of the most unique and incredible books I've ever read, so I had high hopes for Devil and the Dark Water. It was so different from 7 1/2 Deaths but rivals it in quality. The question of whether Old Tom even existed had me questioning things until the very end. Please tell me a Turton #3 is in the works?
